About Us: The Heart Behind Little Golden Farm

Hey there, I’m Melissa and I’m basically the face, the heart, the hands, the everything behind Little Golden Farm. Honestly this whole thing started way before I even knew I wanted my own program. I grew up watching my mom raise Poodles with so much love it literally shaped my whole idea of what ethical breeding should look like. I was that kid who sat next to her for hours, soaking up everything, watching her be so intentional with every puppy. It stuck with me.

Dogs have always been my safe place, especially through the hardest chapters of my life. Their love is just different. I’ll never forget how one little Doodle walked into my life at the exact moment I needed something to keep going, and it genuinely changed me. That’s why I do this. I want other families to feel that same healing, that same spark.

Now it’s me and my mom raising puppies together as a real family team. Between the two of us we have decades of experience and honestly we put our whole hearts into our Bernedoodles and Aussiedoodles. They’re healthy, social, emotionally solid little potatoes and we’re really proud of that. We’re not a big breeder, we’re literally in our home with our dogs. No kennels, no weird stuff. Just real life, real people, real snuggles.

Our puppies grow up hearing normal house sounds, meeting people, being cuddled constantly, learning routines. They’re raised with Puppy Culture and Badass Breeder, so they get ENS, ESI, intentional socialization… all the things that help shape confident, well rounded puppies. We’re really serious about the early foundations because it matters so much when they go home.

Why families choose us… honestly probably because we’re small and we like it that way. Quality over quantity every single time. Every dog in our program is health tested, OFA certified, and we don’t do any pairing unless we truly believe it’s going to produce healthy and well tempered puppies. And when you get a puppy from us you’re not just getting a puppy you’re literally joining our little family. We stay in touch, we help, we answer questions, we cheer for your pup at every stage.

We recently moved from Miami to Fort Myers which has been such a fresh start. More space, more focus, more room for the program to grow slowly and intentionally. We’re updating the website with new photos, parent bios, health certifications, and all the info on upcoming litters. It’s a work in progress but it’s coming.
